Welcome to each one of you! It is indeed my pleasure to have you in my class. My name is Nuusa Faamoe and I am your instructor for IDS 122. I come from a small island in the Pacific called Samoa with a population around 190, 000 people. I have a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and am presently on the last two years of a Doctor's degree in Education here in ISU. I have taught for over 20 years.
My peer instructor is Ms Pamm Ambrose. She is a wonderful graduate student here in ISU who works with all university scholar students.This course serves three purposes for me:
1. It ensures you know ISU and all the resources there are to help you.
2. Challenge you to be socially and politically involved.
3. Use technology as a means to broaden our social interactions and learning.
While we want you to have fun in this class, we also want you to think out of the box. Most of the activities we do for our class is geared towards making your transition from High School to College, smooth. The use of technology is to challenge you to do something different, yet educational. I wish all of you great success!
